The HP LoadRunner Protocol SDK package allows you to create custom LoadRunner protocols from within Visual Studio.
LoadRunner provides this package as an extension to Visual Studio 2012.
To install the LoadRunner Protocol Library package:
- Make sure you have Visual Studio 2012 and the WiX Toolset 3.8 or higher installed on your machine.
- Locate the installation file, SetupLoadRunnerProtocolSDK.exe, on the LoadRunner DVD in the Additional Components\LoadRunnerProtocolSDK folder. You can install this extension on a machine that does not have an installation of LoadRunner.
- Follow the installation wizard to completion.
- Create a new test using the LoadRunner Protocol SDK template. For details, see the Protocol SDK documentation, accessible from the Start menu or from the following (default) location: C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\LoadRunner\LoadRunner Protocol SDK\documents\webframe.html.
Note: Some of the .NET libraries defined in component feature "feature_protocol_sdk" must be manually registered into GAC.
To uninstall the LoadRunner Protocol SDK package, do one of the following:
In Visual Studio, select Tools > Extensions and Updates. Click Uninstall for the LoadRunner Protocol SDK entry.
Open the Control Panel to Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall a Program, and select the HP LoadRunner Protocol SDK entry.
Note: Some of the .NET libraries defined in component feature "feature_protocol_sdk" must be manually unregistered out of GAC.
